Lexington junior Courtney Avery lit up last summer's combine tour, highlighted by a spectacular showing at the Scout/Pittsburgh camp where he made the All-Combine team. Avery, a starter since his freshman season, has continued to show his ability this season by leading Lexington to a 9-0 record, and a state ranking. Avery, 5-foot-10 and 165-pounds, starts at quarterback and at defensive back for the Minutemen. At quarterback he has completed 110 out of 144 passes for 2,013 yards, and has thrown 21 touchdowns.
