Here are some quick hits on prospects from around the southeast...
2015 Scout 100 cornerback Rico McGraw has broken his ankle and will miss the rest of the Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth basketball season. McGraw is a four-star cornerback that is committed to Georgia.
Jackson Harris, a four-star tight end out of Columbia (Tenn.) Central is one of the hottest prospects in the country right now. Penn State offered him on Monday and last week he added offers from Ohio State, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and Wake Forest. He has over two dozen offers at this time. No leaders for the 6-foot-5, 240 pound junior.
Lincolnton (N.C.) defensive end Darian Roseboro picked up an offer from Texas on Monday. He also added offers from Missouri, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Syracuse last week. In-state school North Carolina State may have the early lead here. The Scout 300 prospect visited Raleigh the weekend before signing day.
A 2016 cornerback to watch is Kristian Fulton out of Metairie (La.) Rummel. He Florida, LSU, Louisiana Tech, and UCLA have all offered. The 6-foot sophomore is hearing Oklahoma State and Tennessee could be on the verge of offering as well.
2015 running back Dexter Williams out of Orlando (Fla.) Olympia is a name to know. Miami offerd first, then Florida Ohio State, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Williams is a back with a good blend of size and speed out of the Sunshine State.
It is hard to find a hotter prospect right now in the southeast than Sterling Johnson, a four-star defensive tackle out of Clayton (N.C.) Cleveland. Kentucky offered Monday, before that ii was Miami, and the list goes on. He plans to visit Alabama March 1, the Crimson Tide offered recently as well. Johnson is a 6-foot-5, 265 pound athletic defensive lineman.
Tennessee did an excellent job of keeping much of their top in-state talent in Knoxville in 2014 and it offered 2017 wide receiver Jacoby Stevens over the weekend. Stevens is a freshman out of Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth.
The University of Alabama is in the hunt for top running backs in 2015 and it offered at least three on Monday. Jovon Robinson out of Georgia Military College added an offer, then Eric Swinney and Josh Frasier from the high school ranks did as well. Swinney is in Georgia and Frasier is in North Carolina. Both are four-star backs.
Auburn and Kentucky offered 2015 wide receiver Jayson Stanley on Monday. He had Charlotte and Marshall offers before that, so expect many more ACC/SEC type offers to come in. Stanley is a smooth receiver with speed and length out of Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside.
Ole Miss offered rising wide receiver Trevill Holcy out of Saint Cloud (Fla.) Monday. The 6-foot-5, 210 pound junior also has offers from Kentucky and Miami.
Clemson offered a couple of top defensive backs in the southeast Monday; one was safety Jamal Peters out of Mississippi and the other was corner Xavier Lewis out of Louisiana. Peters is a Scout 100 prospect and Lewis is a four star on Scout.
2016 offensive lineman Ryan Johnson picked up his first and second offers Monday. The 6-foot-5, 265 pound sophomore out of Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth was offered by Ole Miss and Tennessee. He visited Knoxville Saturday for UT's Junior Day.
