Talented Soph Adds Third Offer

The recruitment of sophomore George Brown has certainly taken off, and the Cincinnati Colerain lineman added his third offer recently. As one of Ohio's top 2015 prospects, there should be more coming for Brown.

Cincinnati Colerain sophomore lineman George Brown has been receiving a lot of recruiting attention lately, and he is one of the top 2015 prospects in the state of Ohio.

Brown, 6-foot-6, 253-pounds, played tight end last year for Colerain, but projects as either an offensive tackle or defensive end at the college level. His combination of size and athletic ability has college recruiters drooling. Brown added his third offer Saturday.

"I was offered by Cincinnati on Saturday, and Coach (Eddie) Gran called my head coach and let him know they were offering me a scholarship," Brown stated. "I think it's a great offer and they are very close to home. I will be going there next Saturday for their junior day, and I'm excited for that."

"I visited there for a basketball game before and Coach Gran has been to my school to see me," he added. "I believe they are recruiting me as an offensive tackle, but I'm not sure of that. I've been to games at UC before and it's a great place to watch a game."

Brown also visited Purdue on Sunday, and while he was not offered, the Boilermaker staff let him know he is high on their list.

"I loved the campus, and the coaches said they liked my tape," he explained. "They are a new coaching staff and they're very enthusiastic. I know Coach (Kevin) Sherman from when he coached my brother at Virginia Tech, and he's a real cool guy."

"Purdue is definitely an option for me, and they want me to come back in the spring," he continued. "They also said they are coming to see me at my school this spring as well. I don't have any other visits planned down the road, but there could be more."

The Cincinnati offer was number-three for Brown, as he earlier picked up offers from Kentucky and Bowling Green.
