| Biography: |
Columbus Independence's Erik Haw experienced a skyrocket to stardom as he went from a relative unknown in recruiting circles in the spring of 2003 to one of the nation's top running back prospects. It started with a lights-out performance at summer camps, which he capped off with a now-famous showing at OSU camp, where he was clocked at 4.21 and 4.28 in the 40. Haw went out and had a sensational senior season, rushing for 3,038 yards (good for sixth on the all-time Ohio single season list) and 30 TDs. He was co-Division II Offensive Player of the Year and chose OSU over offers from Michigan and several others. Haw was also an outstanding track performer in high school.
