2007 (Sophomore): Handled the Buckeyes’ kickoffs in 2007 ... hampered by a hip flexor strain during first half of season ... second-year letterman.

2006 (Freshman): Finished the season 8-of-11 in the field goal department and 55-of-58 on extra-points ... made one of his first three field goal attempts, but his only miss after that was a 53-yard attempt vs. Penn State ... converted his last five field goals, including a 51-yarder against Indiana and a 50-yarder at Illinois ... none of his 61 kickoffs in the regular season went out of bounds and 35 were not brought out of the end zone ... four of his five kickoffs at Texas were touchbacks and he went 5-for-7 in that category vs. Cincinnati and at Iowa ... named Ohio State’s special units player of the week three times.

2005 (Redshirt): Walked on in the fall and was redshirted ... converted to grant-in-aid at the end of winter quarter.

High School: Played quarterback and handled the kicking and punting duties ... set one state record with a 58-yard field goal and set another for career completion percentage by a quarterback ... also played basketball and baseball.

Personal: Son of Steve and Lillian Pettrey ... has two younger siblings ... likes to relax by going home and spending time with his friends and family.
