| As a senior, Hines ran for nearly 800 yards and 14 touchdowns and passed for 750 yards and nine touchdowns. He was named First Team All-District.
In his freshman season at Berrien, Hines started on the varsity at linebacker and quarterback. The athletic southpaw signal caller threw for 800 yards and rushed for 500 more. And in his sophomore campaign, Hines rushed for 1,000 yards in just eight games when he moved to running back on offense and he started on defense at linebacker once again. Earned second team All-County honors as a junior.
