| Biography: |
| One of the state's top quarterback prospects heading into the 2006 season, Nowels has been excellent over the past two seasons. As a sophomore, he threw for 1,980 yards and 18 touchdowns. Then as a junior, he threw for 1,962 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Nowels: "I really like the pressure. I enjoy having all eyes on me when it's crunch time. Also, my footwork really helps me. I can move around really well and avoid taking a lot of sacks."
