2005: Freeman is a tough player that will give up his body to make the tough catch. He has good hands, runs well, and is an above average blocker. After being slowed by an injury last year, we expect Freeman's numbers to jump in Weis' offense. He'll surprise many Notre Dame fans that have not had an opportunity to watch him.
2004: Freeman really developed into an outstanding option at TE. He started the first six game of the season, but was then slowed by an injury he suffered in the Stanford game. His first career catch came against BYU in the season opener, where he had a career high, 3 catches for 28 yards.
2003: Marcus played in all but one game...appearing almost exclusively on special teams.
2002: Did not play as a freshman.
High School: Insiders #24 ranked TE...played in the U.S. Army All-America Bowl. Two-time Minnesota all state selection. Marcus caught 18 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns as a senior. Also played DE. His cousin is Rashon Powers-Neal. Final Schools: Arizona, Miami, Minnesota, Oklahoma, UCLA
