Finished strong in the SEC Tournament and the NIT to get his scoring average back to double figures … Will be looked at to be a team leader and obtain the consistency needed to help the team.
JUNIOR SEASON (2003-04)
Finished the year with a career high 25 points against South Carolina in the SEC Tournament (3-12) and 16 at Oklahoma in the NIT (3-17) to get his final average back to double figures (10.2), fourth on the team … In South Carolina game, also had a career high five treys and a career high tying five assists … Started 21-of-28 games, averaged 31.6 minutes per game, 3.9 rebound a game and 1.9 assists per game … Had three 20-point games - 25 vs. South Carolina (SECT, 3-12), 22 at Centenary (1-3) and 20 versus Southern (11-21) - seven in his career … 15 double figure games this season, 42 in career … Had more assists than turnovers in all three of his LSU season … One of just 10 players to have made more than 100 treys in career at LSU (109), ninth best total … Enters the season 124 points shy of becoming 34th player in LSU history to score 1,000 career points … Started 53-of-94 games in career, averaging 28.2 minutes a game … Scoring average just below his career best of 10.3 in his freshman season.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002-03)
Started 16-of-32 games, averaged 25.2 minutes, scoring 7.5 points and 2.9 rebounds … Also averaged 1.9 assists per game and 1.3 steals per game … Hudson's best game of the year came at a good time for LSU, scoring 20 in the win over top-ranked Arizona (12-21) … In 35 minutes, Hudson was seven-of-14 from the field, three-of-five from three-point range with nine rebounds … The 20 points against the Wildcats was his fourth career 20-plus point effort at LSU … Had back-to-back double figure scoring games only once in the season: 18 at Arkansas (1-22) followed by 12 at Mississippi State (1-25) … 11 games in double-figure scoring … In the win against Auburn (2-26) had five steals, which led to many of his four assists.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2002-03)
Finished the season with a 10.3 scoring average, playing in all 34 games, starting 16 … Averaged 28.1 minutes per game … Hit 43 three-pointers and 38.7 percent of his trey attempts … Also averaged 3.3 rebounds a game and 1.56 assists a contest … Fourth on the team in scoring … Became the first LSU player to make the All-SEC Tournament team since 1993 with his three-game performance at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta … Hudson in three games played 109 minutes, hit 19-of-35 field goal attempts (54.3 percent), six-of-10 three-point field goals (60.0 percent) and 19-of-23 free throws (82.6 percent), while averaging 21.0 points and 4.0 rebounds a game … Hudson scored 24 in a first-round win over Vanderbilt, 23 in the quarterfinal win over Georgia and 16 in the narrow semifinal loss to Mississippi State … SEC Tournament performance left many writers wondering how Hudson got left off league all-freshman team … Finished with double figure scoring in seven of the last 11 games … Best game of 24 was against Vandy in the SEC Tournament with 23 points against Mississippi State and Georgia.
