| Cemented himself into a starting role and led OSU in receptions (55), receiving yards (769), and touchdown catches (7). Had a monster game against Marshall in week two, catching 10 balls for 224 yards and two touchdowns in Ohio State's last-second 24-21 win. Had 20 punt returns for 214 yards and one touchdown with eight kickoff returns for 168 yards. Many thought Holmes would declare for the NFL draft after his sophomore year, but he decided to stay at Ohio State for his junior season. Will once again be one of the offense's and special teams' top playmakers in 2005.
