HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Brandon "Bam" Childress signed with Ohio State in 2000 out of Bedford (OH) St. Peter Chanel High School. Childress selected the Buckeyes over USC and several others. The winner of the 1999 Mr. Football award in the state of Ohio, Childress did it all for the Chanel Firebirds, playing RB, WR, DB, and special teams. He only had seven passes thrown in his direction all year, and he intercepted two of them with only one completion. He was also awarded with the Division V Defensive Player of the Year in Ohio and helped turn around a 1-9 record from the year before to a 13-1 record. |
