"I'm just waiting to see how everything goes this season and if I get any more offers," Orhian Johnson said. "I want to see if I get interest from any other schools. I wish I had a time table or a better idea of where I want to go, but I don't. I don't expect to make a decision early." He favors Ohio State, Florida, Indiana, South Florida and Florida International.

Orhian Johnson, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound three-star quarterback/athlete from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, Fla., continues to deny a leader and hasn't set up any official trips yet.

"I'm just waiting to see how everything goes this season and if I get any more offers," Johnson said. "I want to see if I get interest from any other schools. I wish I had a time table or a better idea of where I want to go, but I don't. I don't expect to make a decision early."

Johnson, ranked as the No. 47 quarterback in the country by Scout.com, says he has offers from Ohio State, Indiana, South Florida, Kansas, Connecticut, Florida International, Cincinnati and Western Kentucky. He favors Ohio State, Florida, Indiana, South Florida and Florida International.

"Ohio State looks really strong," Johnson said. "I know they're still gonna blow up too. They have a new quarterback and a couple new receivers, so they'll just keep getting better."

He says the Buckeyes are recruiting him as an athlete, while Indiana, South Florida and Florida International all want Johnson at quarterback.

"I'm really impressed with what South Florida has done," he said. "They are basically a great program and the coaches just have so much passion and enthusiasm. Plus, they are only about 30 minutes from my house, which isn't a big factor but it is a factor."

Although the Gators haven't offered yet, he says they too evaluate him as an athlete. "They just said that they want to see more of me this season before they offer.

"I got calls from coaches at Ohio State (cornerback coach Taver Johnson), Indiana and Tennessee on Saturday," Johnson said. "They just said they wanted to check in with me and see how I was doing. They also mentioned that I can start setting up my official visits too.

"I like Indiana because they are still improving and up-and-coming," he said. "They said that I'm a good fit for them and that they'd like how I can run and throw the ball."

Boca Ciega is 2-0 (including their fall classic) and Johnson has thrown for a total of three touchdowns and has had one rushing score as well.

He reports a 3.4 core GPA and a 17 ACT.
