Prognosticating About The Ohio State Offense
Posted May 20, 2010

The offense has been “open” at various times, but it hasn’t been very flexible. Ohio State has been a run-first outfit, it has not been afraid to fling the ball around or throw it downfield. They’ve just been limited in the percentage of times they chose to and the scope of how. Expect that to change this season.

Simply asking if Ohio State will "open up" the offense in 2010 is taking the easy way out. There's much more to the subject than that.

If I had to pick one word or phrase to characterize what I expect to see, I'd go with flexibility.

The maturation of Terrelle Pryor and the offensive line is an important factor, but so is the emergence of sophomores Jacob Stoneburner and Zach Boren.
