McVey Gives Verbal To Ohio State

BuckeyeSports.com has confirmed that Ohio State's class of 2010 has grown to five on Spring Game Saturday as Cleveland St. Ignatius linebacker Scott McVey has pledged his services to Ohio State.

The annual Spring Game has not yet kicked off, but already the Buckeyes have won in one regard.

Cleveland St. Ignatius linebacker Scott McVey has committed to Ohio State for the Buckeyes class of 2010, Bill Greene has confirmed. McVey is in town for the game in Ohio Stadium, which ends OSU's spring practice season.

"Yes, I have committed to Ohio State," McVey told Scout.com's Bill Greene. "I met with Coach [Jim] Tressel today. I committed to Ohio State because I love being a part one one of, if not the best, programs in the country. Plus, there's the opportunity to play for Coach Tressel, which is a great benefit of playing for Ohio State. I feel very blessed."

The 6-1, 217-pound three-star prospect has been high on the Buckeyes since receiving an offer in the days after leading the Wildcats to an Ohio Division I title and earning tournament Defensive MVP honors from Scout.com.
