Holmes And The Catch That Saved A Season

Posted Feb 3, 2009

After Santonio Holmes scored the game-winning touchdown in the Super bowl, I couldn’t help but think back to one of the pivotal games of the last four years of Ohio State football, one in which Holmes was both hero and goat.

What a Super Bowl that was Sunday night, with a former Buckeye making the winning offensive play and a former Wolverine coming up with the winning defensive play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The average NFL fan learned a lot about Santonio Holmes in the past week, but he was already a familiar face and name to Ohio State fans.

Relive one of his biggest plays as a Buckeye in the latest post in the Cus Words Blog.

The game of origin might surprise you.
