"I have been offered by Ohio State," Brown exclaimed. "Coach [Luke] Fickell was at school on Monday and he told me they were offering me. He told me to call coach [Jim] Tressel that night, which I did. Coach Tressel confirmed the offer and said they were recruiting me as a cornerback."
Brown, who now has over 30 offers, was clearly excited to hear from Ohio State.
"Oh man, this is great," he admitted. "I've been hoping for an Ohio State offer for a while. They go right to the top of my list. I'm not sure when I will decide because i have a lot of thinking to do. I don't want to drag this out too long, but I want to be sure I'm making the right decision. I will be deciding before the season starts for sure."
Brown, a two-way starter at defensive back and wide receiver since he was a sophomore, is also interested in Ohio State's main rival, the Michigan Wolverines.
"I like Michigan a lot, too" he stated. "I'm going up there this weekend for their junior day. I also like Tennessee, West Virginia and Pitt a lot. I'm anxious to see the Michigan campus and talk with their coaches."
Brown, 6-foot-2 and 185-pounds, also is planning an unofficial visit to Columbus in the near future.
"I want to get out to Ohio State in the next few weeks," Brown said. "I want to sit down with the coaching staff and see how I fit into their plans and how they want to use me. It's cool that Dorian will be going to Ohio State, but that won't factor in my decision. I told coach Tressel that I'm very excited to have the offer and I'm looking forward to coming to see him in the near future."
Brown is listed as a four-star player and is the number eleven rated cornerback in the country by Scout.com.
