Wednesday, March 12 The Canton Repository has a story on the new College Football Hall of Fame nominees, which include former Buckeyes Chris Spielman, Jim Otis and former head coach John Cooper. The Cleveland Plain Dealer has a feature story on the 1968 Ohio State men's basketball team and its improbable run to the Final Four. Former Soviet Red Army colonel, and current OSU fencing coach, Vladimir Nazlymov is the subject of a feature story by the Columbus Dispatch. The Toledo Blade has a story on OSU linebacker James Laurinaitis being placed on the 2008 Lombardi watch list. The Dispatch also has an Ohio State men's basketball notebook. Future men's basketball Buckeye William Buford will be in Columbus for the OHSAA semifinals and the Toledo Blade has a story on Buford's team playing against undefeated St. Paris Graham tomorrow in the D-II state semis, as well as a story on the Cowboys as a team. Finally, the Plain Dealer has a story on how quarterback prospect Terrelle Pryor has been cleared to continue his basketball season following a review of a fight between his team and another on Saturday. |
