In Jim Tressel's tenure Ohio State has been a regular at the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona, so one would assume that it was only a matter of time before a top prospect listed the Buckeyes as their childhood favorite. 2009 prospect Corey Adams, who will be rated as one of the top defensive players in the country, is such a prospect and he now holds an OSU official offer.

Scout.com has been informed that Ohio State has extended an early offer to junior defensive tackle Corey Adams from Saguaro HS (Scottsdale, AZ).

The 6-3 275 pound Adams now holds offers from Ohio State, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, Florida, Oregon, Oregon State and Michigan, bringing his total to nine.

On the year Adams has recorded 98 tackles and 20 sacks (1 game stats) for the 12-0 and #1 ranked Sabercats.

He was recently named to Scout.com's top 100 juniors.

Saguaro faces Scottsdale Chaparral in two weeks in the 4A1 state semi-finals.
