Senior Jamar Butler led Thad Matta's Buckeyes to a 88-59 win over Ashland at Value City Arena.

It was the first game as a Buckeye for freshman Kosta Koufos (31), who led OSU with 15 points.

David Lighty (23) scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

Dallas Lauderdale (52) grabbed a loose ball, while P.J. Hill (4) battled with an Ashland player. It was Lauderdale's only rebound.

Butler scored seven points from his guard position.

Hill made his only field goal attempt of the game and finished with four points.
