The Ohio State Buckeye coaching staff received some great news on Sunday when Cincinnati wide receiver DeVier Posey informed them of his decision to don the Scarlet and Gray on the next level.

DeVier Posey, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver from LaSalle High in Cincinnati, Ohio has decided that he will stay home and play for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Posey was trying to keep the news under wraps until his Birthday on Thursday, but after news leaked out to the local media, he has been forced to go public this morning.

Posey is a versatile athlete who plays receiver and some quarterback for the Lancers. As a junior, he accounted for over 1,300 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns while on his way to All-Ohio honors.

Posey joins K Ben Buchanan and OT Mike Adams as the players who have issued non-binding verbal commitments to sign with Ohio State on National Letter of Intent Day in February, 2008.

Scout.com will have comments from DeVier Posey later this afternoon.
