The latest edition of the Recruit Tracker has been updated to the enjoyment
of Ohio State basketball fans hoping to keep up with the latest in the Buckeye
basketball recruits on the hardwood.
It's updated to include most games through Jan. 31, including Jon Diebler and
his march to 2,958 points and become Ohio's all-time scoring leader. Diebler,
now sitting at 2,671 points, could average just 40 points a game (his current
average) for the remaining portion of the regular season and eclipse the record
in the first game of the sectional tournament played at Mansfield Senior
High School.
Here is the following included in the latest update:
* Jon Diebler and his 47-point, 16-rebound, 6-assist performance against
Willard (Ohio) in a 97-91 victory
* Kosta Koufos with a 32-point, 18-rebound and 10-block performance against
Canton McKinley, as GlenOak snapped McKinley's 44-game home win streak
* William Buford with 33 points and 16 rebounds against Toledo Scott
* Another victory for St. Joseph and 6-5 Evan Turner, who chipped in with 11
points
* A big 16-point outburst for Eric Wallace in an easy victory for Hargrave
Military Academy
* A pair of wins for Solon and Dallas Lauderdale
* Two more wins for point guard Anthony Crater and Flint Southwestern Academy
- Crater scored 21 points and averaged 7.5 assists in those two games
* An average of 26 points and 15 rebounds in one win and one loss for B.J. Mullens and Canal Winchester
* Two more games for Reno (Nevada) Galena's Luke Babbitt, who scored 53
points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a pair of victories before visiting Ohio State
Saturday
* Updated a game for Yancy Gates for stats previously missing
* Two more wins for Roberto Nelson including games of 26 points and 33 points
respectively
* A 23-point performance for Tyler Griffey
* Two games of just 4 points each for Stephan Van Treese
* A 23-point, 10-rebound game for freshman DeShaun Thomas
* Jared Sullinger and games of 27 points, 20 rebounds and 23 points in wins
against Columbus Brookhaven and East. The 6-7 Sullinger is averaging over 18
points and 10 rebounds a game as a freshman
