Robert Rose

Somewhat lost amongst the hoopla of media day at Ohio State was the fact that the potential of the freshmen class at Ohio State, from top to bottom, is really something to be excited about. So many of these young guys are really expected to make a big splash at one point or another during their career as a Buckeye. Here's how many of those stellar first-year Buckeyes looked during media Day.

It starts at the very top with Chris Wells.

His friends call him Beanie.

Ross Homan is another "Can't Miss" prospect.

Flashback to May 22, 2005.

And then there's Robert Rose.

Fours anyone? Lots going on with this number!

Kurt Coleman was wearing 29 in the spring.

He enrolled early with these guys.

While Ray Small got in just in time.

Thaddeus Gibson played great in the Big 33 game.

And so did that other Glenville kid...Bryant Browning.

Flashback to Aug. 1, 2005.

There's another pretty good offensive lineman in the class...Connor Smith.

And his former Colerain teammate, Tyler Moeller, is eager to make a name for himself.

Both played on the state championship team in 2004.

Flashback to Sept. 9, 2005.

Mark Johnson is another top-rated linebacker in the class.

He starts his career with the Buckeyes with a shoulder injury that may keep him out of action for some time.

Grant Schwartz is another highly-regarded import from California and he's the son of a former Buckeye as well.

Antonio Henton, from Georgia, is regarded by some as the next Troy Smith.

Walter Dublin hails from the Sunshine State.

So does Chimdi Chekwa...originally from New Orleans.

Dexter Larimore is an All-American wrestler from Indiana.

Aram Olson, from South Carolina, should spring Beanie for a few long runs over their respective careers.

Jake Ballard has the size and ability to be called upon at tight end very early in his career.

While Andy Miller is another tight end prospect from Pennsylvania.

And last, but certainly not least, is Aaron Gant from St. Mary's Preparatory School in Michigan.
