Glenville's Rose An All-Star Game Veteran
Cleveland Glenville defensive end Robert Rose has been through an all-star game already. But Rose is excited to be a part of Saturday's Ohio North-South Classic at Columbus Crew Stadium. "I'm excited because I haven't played football since January," he said. "I am excited to just get back into it." The 6-5, 260-pound Rose will be one of many stars on display in Saturday's game, although he will be the only OSU signee on the North squad. He may go head-to-head at times in the game with OSU signee Connor Smith, a lineman for the South team from Cincinnati Colerain. "We talk all the time," Rose said of Smith. "He is a pretty good player. He always brags about his (championship) ring. I can't say too much. We plan on going against each other in practice. But I'm versatile, I think I can go inside and play tackle." Rose, a rangy end prospect with 4.7-second speed in the 40, helped lead Glenville to a 12-1 mark as a senior.
