The state of Ohio is loaded at the safety position this coming season. One
player who is projected to get attention from major colleges is Sean Baker of
Canfield High School.
Baker has already received interest from several programs in the region.
"I have been down to Ohio State 2 or 3 times," he said. "I was
invited down to a practice before the bowl. I was down for the Northwestern
game. Notre Dame, UConn, Wisconsin, and Illinois have all been in contact."
Right now, Baker has three favorites on his mind.
"Ohio State, Penn State and Notre Dame are my favorites," he said.
Baker plans on camping at each of those schools.
"I went to Penn State last summer for camp," he said. "I plan
on going to camps at Ohio State, Penn State and Notre Dame."
Baker has a bench press of 300 pounds and currently stands at 6-1, 190.
"I may have some growing to do yet," he said. "My dad is 6-4
and my brother is 6-3. I am working on my speed. I start speed training next
week."
Baker is primarily a DB but had to step in at running back in the state
championship game. He gained 165 yards in the game.
"I only played running back in the state championship game," he said.
"I did not play there this year. Angelo got hurt and I had to step in. I
knew the plays but that was about it."
Baker had three interceptions and nearly 80 tackles on the year.
