The decisions by Ashton Youboty and Donte Whitner to leave Ohio State early
for the NFL may have changed things as far as Ohio State's recruiting targets.
One player who could be back on the radar is cornerback Ashton Henderson of
Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln.
Henderson is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 64 cornerback
prospect nationally by Scout.com. He is still in the decision-making process.
"I have been to Ole Miss and I visit UCLA this weekend, (Michigan State)
on the 20th." Henderson said. "The last date is still open... There is
a chance I could visit Ohio State."
Henderson says he has not spoken with anyone from Ohio State, and it may be
as a result of his coaching situation.
"My old coach, Coach Wilson, resigned over the summer," he said.
"He has been in touch with them. They did not know he had resigned.
"Because of the complications with communications I have not had a
chance to talk with anyone from Ohio State. I would be very interested in
getting up there to take a look."
Henderson lists offers from Ole Miss, UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon, and
several others. He carries a 3.67 GPA and has scored a 20 on the ACT.
