Hoops season is almost here! As the Buckeyes take the hardcourt, you can get
to know this year's men's and women's teams in our yearly basketball preview
issue. That issue, dated December 2005, will be out Nov. 15. If you want this issue
to be included in a new subscription, you must order by October 15. Take a look at some of the articles you can expect
(story
lineup is tentative and subject to change):

Thad Matta |
Men's, Women's
Basketball Preview: The men are on the way up, while the women are
already there and will be aiming to cut the nets down. Yes, Buckeye
basketball is on the rise again, and we'll have a preview in this issue
for both the men's and women's teams, along with player profiles and
conference previews. |

Jim Karsatos |
Iowa/OSU 1985 - 20
Years Later: The 1985 Iowa Hawkeyes came into the Horseshoe ranked
No. 1 and undefeated, riding the arm of Heisman Trophy contender Chuck
Long. They left empty-handed after the Buckeyes upset the Hawkeyes on a
rain-soaked afternoon. Steve Helwagen looks back at this memorable
upset. |

Eddie George |
Eddie George Heisman
Trophy - 10 Years Later: OSU legend Eddie George is out of football
after a successful NFL career, but it seems like just yesterday that he
brought the 1995 Heisman Trophy home to Columbus. Steve Helwagen writes
about Eddie's Heisman win 10 years later. |

Quinn Pitcock |
Player Features: Quinn Pitcock, Anthony Schlegel - Some say
the OSU defense is the best in the nation. Two big reasons are junior
defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock and senior middle linebacker Anthony
Schlegel. Charles Babb has stories on each player in this issue.
|

Josh Chichester |
Chichester Coming To
Town - One of the most unique athletes to commit to Ohio State
football over the past few years is wide receiver Josh Chichester of
West Chester (Oh.) Lakota West. Standing tall at 6-8, Chichester is
rated as one of the top football and basketball prospects in his class
and may be able to contribute in both sports at OSU. Gary Housteau will
have Chichester's story in this issue.
