Cleveland Glenville wide receiver/defensive back Ray Small joined teammate Robert Rose in making a weekend official visit to USC.

Rose was in person Saturday night at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum as the top-ranked Trojans blasted Arkansas 70-17.

"It was great, man, I had a great time," Small told usc.scout.com. "The best part to me was the game, it was so impressive. It was like a movie with how good they were. It was crazy. I expected them to be good but not that good. They just knew what they were doing, you know.

"I had always loved USC coming in and going on that visit made me like it even more knowing how it really is. I love the way the coaches operate with the players. Coach Carroll knows everybody's name and he talks with them like he talks with everybody. We were with the coaches basically the whole time and they are real down to earth people.

"My hosts on the visit were Patrick Turner and Kyle Moore. We went out a little last night on campus and that was fun. This morning we went to breakfast in Manhattan Beach and then Coach Burns took me on a tour of Hollywood to show me around. It was a great time.

"I plan on announcing my college choice in January."

Small and Rose made the trip to USC after helping Glenville, the state's top-rated Division I team, defeat Cleveland East Tech 59-0 on Friday.

Small is rated as the nation's No. 8 cornerback prospect by Scout.com. He is the No. 5 prospect overall in Ohio, acoording to Ohio High magazine.

Besides USC, Small also has offers from Ohio State, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida and LSU. He holds a 3.8 GPA.
