From the opening kickoff, Ohio State dominated the game against the Miami Redhawks. Justin Zwick took advantage of the suspension to Troy Smith and executed a solid game while he was under center for the Buckeyes. Donte Whitner's intereception return for a touchdown highlighted the action on defense. Ted Ginn caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Todd Boeckman, who was playing quarterback for the first time in three seasons. OSU now has the momentum in their favor heading into Texas week.

Jeremy Mullins (left) is a member of the USAF and will be redeployed in Iran come October. He is stationed out of Oklahoma and the Miami game was his only chance to see the Buckeyes. Zwick came out throwing. On the day he was 17 of 23 for 155 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.



Antonio Pittman was the game's leading rusher with 100 yards on 14 carries.



The veteran offensive line paved the way for 160 yards rushing and gave up only one sack.





Ginn couldn't break away on his first catch of the day that went for minus 6 yards. Ginn had 5 catches for 75 yards and 1 TD.



Santonio Holmes grabs this 20-yard pass for a touchdown. Holmes had 5 catches for 74 yards and 1 score.



The defense pitched a shutout until late in the game when the backups were on the field.





Brandon Murphy of Strongsville led Miami with 48 yards on 15 carries.



Ginn took a short pass and ran with it for a 25-yard gain on this play.



Bobby Carpenter played some at tight end on offense.



In all the offense netted 382 yards on the day.



Doug Datish started at left tackle and moved to center when Nick Mangold went out with an injury. Later Datish returned to tackle.



A.J. Hawk led the defense with 10 tackles and had a sack.



Donte Whitner almost pulls up on a pump fake on this play...



...but he follows through and gets the sack anyway. Whitner was only credited with 2 tackles but he seemed like he was all over the field making plays including a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Roy Hall had 5 catches for 23 yards.

Quinn Pitcock is holding his own inside on this play. Pitcock had 4 tackles including 1 for a loss.



Anthony Schlegel had 5 tackles and Marcus Green had 3 on the day.
