More than a few future Ohio State Buckeyes were in action at the state track meet over the two day event and there also a couple of others participating that fans who follow OSU recruiting are aware of. To no one's surprise, Glenville won the team event in a big way and Brain Hartline came through in a similar fashion in his two meets.

Brian Hartline of GlenOak got the day off to an auspicious start for Ohio State fans with a strong performance in the 110 Hurdles.

With a time of 14.09 seconds, Hartline made it to the top of podium at the awards presentation for the first of his two events.

Sophomore sensation Brandon Saine of Piqua won the 100 meter sprint in a time of 10.86 seconds. Freddie Lenix of Glenville finished fourth with a time of 10.99 seconds.

Lenix was a member of the 4X200 relay team that easily won their event with a time of 1:25.09. From left to right in the picture are Andre Evans (anchor leg), Lenix (2nd leg), Derek McBryde (3rd leg)and Ray Fisher (1st leg).

Middletown's Jeff See won both the 1600 (4:11.20) and 800 meter (1:51.18) events. See will be running track at Ohio State in the fall.

Jamario O'Neal of Glenville got into the scoring act for the first time as the third leg of the 4X100 meter relay team. Glenville earned 10 more points in this event with a time of 41.67 seconds.

Saine was back at it again but this time it was in the 400 meters. He won his second race of the day with a time of 47.85 seconds.

Some in attendance were saying that if Saine had entered the 200 meter event he could have earned three of these gold colored medals on the day.

Hartline was up again in the 300 Hurdles and he, of course, didn't disappoint getting to the finish line first with a time of 36.69 seconds.

But Darryl Elston of Toledo Rogers made it a bit close for comfort as he turned in a second-place time of 36.77 seconds and was pretty even with Hartline coming off the last hurdle.

Nevertheless Hartline, fully recovered from his broken leg suffered in football season, promised two golds on the day and he delivered.

Lenix managed a second-place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 21.75 seconds. Benja'Lan Provitt of Warren G. Harding won that in event in a time of 21.52 seconds.

O'Neal ran the second leg on Glenville's 4X400 relay team. In this picture, O'Neal is holding off Andre Amos of Middletown down the stretch run.

Lenix widened the lead as the third leg of the winning 4X400 relay team before Glenville won it easily in a time of 3:16.58.

It was the last race that O'Neal and Lenix would run together at Glenville.

The winning relay team in the 4X400 consisted of Evans, O'Neal, Lenix and Fisher.

Amos, pictured here with Hartline, and his 4X400 relay team were disqualified during the race.

Head track coach Ted Ginn Sr. was making the PR rounds after the race to do what he does best...promote his kids.

The Glenville family won their third consecutive state track championship and their 13th title overall in their school's history.

Ray Small was all smiles at the end of the competition. A minor injury on Friday kept him out of the action on Saturday. I wish I could tell you what he was saying when I took this picture!

Sophomore quarterback Chris Smith of South Point threw both the discus and shot put in Division II.

Smith finished sixth in the shot put and 12th overall in the discus.

Brian Robiskie of Chagrin Falls just started running the 400 meters a couple of weeks ago and he finished second in his Division II race with a time of 49.63 seconds.
