Ohio State signee Andre Amos of Middletown, Ohio, will be busy this weekend as the district track and field meet begins.

Amos, a 6-2, 175-pound wide receiver, will be competing in the 400-meter dash as well as the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams for the Middies.

Amos will graduate from Middletown June 4. He said his GPA will be in the 3.5 range. He has scored a 910 on the SAT.

This summer, he will play in the Ohio All-Star Classic and the Big 33 Football Classic.

"I think I'm playing in both of those games," he said. "I'm not sure about the (Cincinnati) East-West game, though. I am very excited to play in those games."

Amos said he also plans to make the two-hour trek up to Ohio State to work out on a regular basis.

"I will try and get up there every weekend," he said. "After school is out, I'll be up there from time to time. Right now, I've been lifting three days a week.

"I've been talking to (OSU wide receivers coach Darrell) Hazell pretty often. I came up to the Scarlet and Gray Game."
