Defensive back Anderson Russell of Atlanta (Ga.) Marist took an official
visit to Duke this weekend, one of two he planned on taking before making a
decision.
"I had a great time at Duke," Russell said. "I felt real
comfortable. I felt really at home.
"I was hosted by Chris Davis. He's an All-American kick returner. He's
my cousin. We're real tight."
Not surprisingly, Russell was impressed with Duke's academics.
"I'm looking to major in business, and Duke's got a really good business
school," he said.
Duke's head coach Ted Roof was telling Russell about the team's plans to turn
things around.
"Coach Roof was telling me the things they need to do to change the
program around," Russell said. "I think he's the right guy for the
job."
Look for a decision soon from Russell.
"I got Ohio State next weekend, then it should be decision time,"
he said.
