Go Bucks!

Behind the arm and the legs of Troy Smith, Ohio State surprised the college football world and even their owns fans as well with a convincing victory over the Michigan Wolverines. Ted Ginn, Ashton Youboty, Santonio Holmes, the offensive line, and the overall defense all stood out in the winning effort as some of the game day pictures indicate.

'Thee Game' was somewhat of a family affair for the Mundy clan from Michigan and the Lyons family from Ohio State (Wesley Lyons Jr., Devon's younger brother, is the tall one in the middle).

Karen Lyons and Nancy Mundy are sisters. This Bucknuts.com staffer got to share in their wonderful pregame bounty.

At their tailgate spot, the Ohio State team members walk right by on their way from the Blackwell to the skull session in St. John Arena. Ted Ginn happened to be looking just as good off the field as he did when he was on it.

Recruits like Elijah Hodge, on his official visit, make the walk with the team and they get to experience this game-day ritual that starts out every Buckeye home game.

Ronnie 'Taz' Wilson, another Sunshine State product, was on his official visit as well.

Chris Wells made his first appearance in Ohio Stadium this year.

Alex Boone was on hand and he was still limping noticeably from his ankle injury in the Glenville game last week.

Doug Worthington was in on an unofficial vist from New York state.

Chris Rowell from Warrensville Heights was a visitor for the big game as well.

Maurice Wells, another Florida product, was on his official visit.

Junior Wesley Lyons who has made many unofficial visits to Ohio Stadium this year, couldn't be any more proud of his big brother and the Buckeyes.

Junior Darrin Walls, also from Woodland Hills like the Lyons brothers, was in for an unofficial visit.

Another Junior, D.J. Burris, was on an unofficial visit as well.

Ohio State mens basketball coach Thad Matta was enjoying the pregame atmosphere in the stadium.

The Michigan cheerleaders didn't have a whole lot to cheer about after the first quarter.

While this Ohio State cheerleader was smiling the entire game.

Chad Henne, from eastern Pennsylvania, was playing in his first game in the OSU-Michigan annual renewal, as a starting freshman signal caller, on the road.

Branden Joe carried the ball with authority in the very first series of the game and throughout the contest.

Chad Hoobler makes an important special teams tackle on Steve Breaston early in the game.

Mike Kudla, applying pressure to Henne on this play, was a nuisance to the Wolvering offense all game.

After Ohio State went up 7-0 on the long pass completion from Troy Smith to Tony Gonzalez, Michigan tied it at 7-7 on this nice grab by Jason Avant.

Maurice Hall didn't return the ensuing kickoff knocked deep into the end zone.

Anthony Schlegel brings down freshman running back Mike Hart on this play.

Although Troy Smith had a record-setting day running with the ball, he was contained by Pinkerton's own Lawrence Reid.

Ohio State started this long drive on their own one yard line.

The offensive line, as a group, may have turned in it's best work of the year.

Troy Smith leaps out of the frame as he eludes the pressure from Massillon's own Shawn Crable on this pass attempt.

Ohio State actually had a difficult time scoring points down close to the endzone at one point during the game or the outcome really could have gotten out of hand.

Bobby Carpenter was the first Buckeye to stop Braylon Edwards for a short gain on this reception.

Anthony Schlegel had Mike Hart in his sights once again.

Troy Smith had a career day passing the ball...

...and of course running with the ball. On this play he's tripped up at the two yard line.

Donte Whitner, who had his knee scoped two weeks ago, sacks Henne on this play.

Whitner's former Tarblooder teammate, Ted Ginn, scores on this 82-yard punt return.

Ashton Youboty helps to seal the victory with a big-time interception on this play where he's making a runback after pulling a Henne bullet out of air.

Antonio Pittman had just a few carries in his first game experience against Michigan.

A.J. Hawk makes the tackle on this pass reception to the tight end.

Jim Tressel reacts to a cold drenching of water from the Gatorade bucket with seconds to go in the game. He never saw it coming whatsoever.

Nate Salley is congratulated by his team mates after making a late interception.

An emotional Branden Joe and a proud head coach prepare to sing the best damn alma mater in the land.

Santonio Holmes made a tremendous play to catch a touchdown pass and Youboty has evolved into a game-changing corner back. Two stars of the future at Ohio State assuming Holmes returns next season.

There just can't be a better way in any college stadium in America to end a college football game.
