DE/TE Lawrence Wilson of Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary is getting ready to set
up his visits. Wilson and his family took in the Notre Dame game last Saturday
("It was a wonderful experience," his mother said).
"We were at Notre Dame last Saturday and we're trying to get to Ohio State and Pitt for games," Wilson's father said.
Wilson's father said that this is the week visits will be set up.
"We're going to be setting up our visits this week," Mr. Wilson
said. "We want this wrapped up by basketball season at the latest. It will
likely just be the three schools -- Ohio State, Notre Dame and Pitt.
"(Lawrence) said he wanted to go down to Georgia Tech, but I don't think
he has time for that. We get a good cross-section of schools with those
three."
Wilson's father said that he often gets asked why Lawrence's interest in
Pittsburgh has been so consistent.
"Everybody asks me that," Mr. Wilson said. "Pitt was the first
to offer. That made an impression on Lawrence."
So far, Wilson seems to be off to a good start this season.
"He's having a really good year so far," Mr. Wilson said.
"He's had four sacks and two touchdowns as a tight end. He looks really
good there."
