Top junior Ross Homan out of Coldwater (Oh.) was in attendance for last
weekend's OSU game. Homan is high on the Buckeyes and had a good time at the
game.
"It was awesome. I got to talk to the coaches including Coach Tressel,"
he said. "That was my first game at Ohio State.
"It was awesome to be down on the field for pregame. Watching them come
out of the tunnel, that was something."
Homan saw fellow top juniors Mike Hartline (QB, Canton GlenOak) and Ray
Smalls (RB/WR, Cleveland Glenville) at the game, which will probably not be his
last Buckeye game this year.
"I will likely be back," Homan said. "I'm thinking about going
to Notre Dame too. They have offered me tickets to come over and watch the
game."
Homan and Coldwater, which is one of Division IV's top teams, are off to a
good start this season.
"We're 2-0 so far," he said. "We beat Kenton and (Maria Stein)
Marion Local. I got one touchdown so far and one interception. I have been
playing running back on offense."
Homan called Kenton junior OL D.J. Burris the best player he's faced.
"He's a pretty impressive player," Homan said.
Ross Homan is rated as one of Ohio's top ten overall juniors by Ohio High
magazine. Look for him to make an early decision as he has voiced a desire to
not go through the recruiting process.
