Junior defensive end Redgie Arden is currently hospitalized after sustaining a broken nose and a swollen face after being involved in an apparent off-the-field incident early Sunday morning outside a bar in Huntington, West Virginia.
Unconfirmed reports state that Arden was attending a party that was reserved for members of the Marshall football team, who were reportedly celebrating the end of two-a-day practices. The Charleston Daily News reports that a possible argument between Arden and Marshall quarterback Stan Hill may have led to the incident.
The Daily News reports that three Marshall players fought Arden, and one player -- defensive lineman Jonathan Goddard -- was arrested and charged with hitting a police officer. Goddard was released on a personal recognizance bond and has not been given any charges relating to Arden's injuries.
Bucknuts reporter Charles Babb contacted the hospital and verified that Arden is still checked in. Arden is reportedly in good condition.
