A report in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel confirms that RB Dennis Kennedy, who signed with Ohio State out of Ft. Lauderdale Stranahan High School in February, has chosen to attend Akron instead of Ohio State.

Running back Dennis Kennedy was thrilled to become a part of the Ohio State Buckeyes back in Februrary, but things did not work out between the Ft. Lauderdale product and the Buckeyes.

Kennedy chose Ohio State over offers from Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and others, and he seemed set to join the backfield for the Buckeyes in fall. However, a report in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel states that Kennedy encountered admissions problems with Ohio State and elected to attend Akron instead of playing at a junior college as Ohio State suggested.

Kennedy (5-11, 190, 4.4) rushed for 967 yards and 7 TDs as a senior at Stranahan High School.
