Buckeyes Dominate San Diego State

Ohio State moved its winning streak in the Urban Meyer era to 14 straight games with a 42-7 domination of San Diego State on Saturday in Ohio Stadium.

Kenneth Guiton paced Ohio State's 42-7 triumph against San Diego State, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for another in the stead of Braxton Miller, who went down with an MCL sprain in his left knee on OSU's first drive.

Jordan Hall, Dontre Wilson and Roderick Smith also ran for scores for Ohio State, which outgained the visitors by a 447-280 margin and forced four turnovers.

Miller was injured on his first carry of the game but Guiton came in and tossed an option pitch to Wilson for a touchdown on his first play behind center.

From there, it was a blowout. Guiton led the Buckeyes with 83 yards rushing on nine carries while throwing for 152 yards on 19 of 28 passing. Corey Brown caught a pair of touchdown passes while Devin Smith had a team-high seven catches for 46 yards.

C.J. Barnett led the Buckeyes with seven tackles in his return to the starting lineup after missing the season opener because of injury.
