Chubb committing soon?

Nick Chubb is now thinking he will make his decision a little sooner than he originally thought he would. Find out when he could commit and who he is favoring here...

"I thought I was going to wait things out, take my official visits, and commit after the season, but that is not going to happen anymore," Nick Chubb told Scout.

"I will be committing to someone soon. I am pretty sure I will commit between now and June. I just want to make my decision and get it overwith."

Chubb recently named Georgia as his leader after his third visit to Athens in 2013. UGA still holds that top spot, but a trio of other SEC schools are still on his mind too.

"It is Georgia, then Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida right now. I am liking Texas too, they recently offered me, but I am mainly focused on those four."

He talks about his four favorites.

Auburn: "I like the depth chart, the coaching staff, and I like what I have been hearing from them."

Florida: "I like Coach Muschamp and how he is from Georgia. We have talked and we have a lot in common and I like Florida's offense too."

Georgia: "UGA is the in-state school, they run an offense like we do in high school, and I feel real comfortable there."

Tennessee: "I liked Tennessee for a while, especially when Coach Graham (Now at FSU) was there. They have picked up two running back commitments too, so I am not sure about them right now. I still like them though."

It will likely be one of those schools for the 5-foot-10, 212 pound running back out of Cedartown, Ga. This Scout 300 prospect may take another visit or two, but he feels he is close to making a decision.

"I don't think I will wait too much longer," he said. "I may visit South Carolina in a couple of weeks, but I do not see myself traveling too much more.

"I just want to figure out which school is right for me and make my decision. It will happen pretty soon I think."

Chubb is the No. 16 running back in the country on Scout.
