Hard hitting East St. Louis (Ill.) junior linebacker Kyron Watson is one of the reasons college coaches are finding their way to the school.
It isn't just that he made 142 tackles last year, but it was the way Kyron Watson
struck down back after back, stopping them in their tracks, that has him as one of the top linebacker prospects in Illinois.
Currently, the 6'1, 215-lb Watson is without an offer, but schools are just beginning to find out about him and the interest is increasing.
"Ohio State came to see me today," he reported on Tuesday. "They said that I'm one of their top recruits and Michigan State stopped by too."
Watson says so far those are the only two who have stopped in, but he has kept in contact with a nearby program.
"I have been keeping in contact with Missouri."
He also has heard from Kansas, Kentucky, and several others.
